"Working with Jeff is working with an experienced and exceptionally knowledgeable craftsman, who is respectful and fair. We needed a railing put on our cellar stairs, a necessity due to age. The steps were steep and space was at a minimum. Jeff analyzed the problem and came up with a brilliant result, a metal railing that could be removed, if necessary, so a washing machine, clothes dryer or furnace could be replaced without limiting access to the stairwell and back door. Throughout the whole process Jeff explained the various options we had and their benefits and drawbacks, letting us decide on the final product. Custom Carpentry Kroll Building LLC does EXCELLENT work. Clearly explains work plan, performs the work to very high standards of quality. Strong work ethic and great attention to detail. After observing all stages of each job, I know my garage roof and stairs are built to last. All the work was completed with the great care of an experienced craftsman. I have been consistently impressed with the work and will absolutely use Custom Carpentry again.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK - Two significant jobs have been completed: Garage roof repair (rafter repair, new sheathing) and refurbish front brick steps (rebuild brick risers (using bricks from the demo so brick type/color matched) and install bluestone treads). In addition, has repaired plaster walls and installed vents for kitchen and bathroom exhaust fans.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK - I have used Jeff Kroll, owner of Kroll Custom Carpentry, for over 10 years on projects at my house, from simple ones to large-scale ones (replace a door, gut and re-do a kitchen, remediate structural issues, outside and inside jobs). He is a master craftsman. Jeff is completely trustworthy, as I gave him the key to my house because I had to be at work. He is a master craftsman, works clean, is always on time, communicates any issues in a timely manner, along with options to remediate. Jeff truly takes pride in his work, and his breadth of experience is a major asset to anyone who hires him. Jeff goes above and beyond with each job.

We agreed on a price and the work to be done and when the work would be completed. Everything went as we agreed and the quality of work was good. DESCRIPTION OF WORK - The doors on my shed were rotting due to a flood. Custom Carpentry Kroll measured the old doors, built the new doors off site since they were a custom size, removed the old doors and hung the new doors. There was also some minor trim work performed.

Jeff is a craftsman! He is in the process of doing some deck repair work for me. The deck looks better than the day it was built. He is a perfectionist and takes PRIDE in his work. Working with Jeff has been a very easy experience. I highly recommend him and I will be calling him again for some upcoming projects. His knowledge of the construction business is by far the best I’ve seen from a contractor. He comes up with solutions for any issues that arise and he explains everything to you so you can make a knowledgeable decision.
